$#!@%! Pilot Bearing
Can not get the pilot bearing out. Advance loaned me a pilot bearing puller, but the tips look to be a little worn down and the "teeth" wont grab the inside edge of the bearing. So I ordered one online...now waiting for that to get here.

Progress?
I feel like I am finally making progress. Today, I got the oil pan off and replaced the rear main seal. Not sure if that was leaking though. After further inspection it looks like the leak is at the back of the valve cover gasket, and running down the back of the block. But hey, now I have a fancy one piece oil pan gasket, plus I think there were some small leaks along the pan as well.
On inspection of the pilot bearing, it appears to be coverd in oil. See photo.
INSERT PHOTO OF PILOT BEARING.
Now I can not get it out, need an internal bearing puller. Going to get that tommorrow.

Busy Weekend
Worked all weekend to get the transmission off. Spent most of my time saturday (the time that I was not driving and looking for a tool or something) pulling parts off so the transmission could come out. Then could not get it off at the end of the day... Bought the haynes manual and it said to support the motor so I did, and also undid some more bolts that I thought were not holding it in. Then is started to slide out. I was surprised as it ballanced very well on my homemade transmission jack. Then I had to jack up the side of the jeep to pull it out, but its out.
Now I need to pull the old clutch off, drop the oil pan and replace the rear seal on the engine, put the new clutch on, replace the gasket seal between the transmsission housings (they are leaking at the bottom), put it back on, open the transfer case and replace the output seals, the front is leaking, not sure about the back, but going to do it while in there, and replace the oring on the speedometer cable. If I think about it I will replace the speedometer cable gear, but not sure how many teeth to get so that may wait. It is not hard to get to so I can come back to it later. Then when the transfer case is back on I will need to replace the Master Cylinder and hydraulic line, put in new fluid, and then...go JEEPIN...

Radio and TransPrep
Got the radio re-wired to the front speakers, and almost ready for the centrapod.
Also pulled the shifter cover and "plate" off to work at getting the shifters removed so I can pull the transmission tommorrow.
Tommorrow I plan to get up early, build the transmission jack adaptor and hopefully go to town on pulling that thing out. I am anxious to get it started and back together.

Room to breathe
Made room in the garage today for the jeep, now I can work on the transmission.
Ordered the flywheel, rear main seal and oil pan gasket today, I think all I have left are the master cylinder and hydraulic line.

Clutch
The clutch kit arrived today, yeah. I still need to get the flywheel and a few other items that I want to swap out while in there like the engine rear seal, I also want to get a master cylinder and new hydraulic line while I am at it.
